Caring for People with High Medical Needs
Eligibility
You are required to meet the following requirements to qualify to apply under the caring for people with high medical needs program:
- Work experience
- Employment requirements
- Language Skills
- Education
- Admissibility
Work experience
- at least 24 months of full-time work experience in last 48 months in Canada in NOC 3012, NOC 3233, NOC 3413 or NOC 4412 .
- must be 30 hours per week
- breaks in employment are allowed
- if you gained experience in NOC 3012 or NOC 3233 in Canada, you must prove that you licensed and registered with regulatory body as required.
Language Skills
You are required to meet the minimum language level of 7 of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) for NOC 3012 and CLB 5 for NOC 3233, NOC 3413 and NOC 4412 in either English or French.
Employment requirements
You must prove that you have required education and training to meet the job requirements.
Education
Minimum level of education is a Canadian post-secondary education credential of at least one year and or in case of foreign credentials an Educational Credentials Assessment (ECA) report is required from one of the designated organizations. As per ECA report your foreign education must be equivalent to Canadian post-secondary education credential of at least one year.
Admissibility
You must be admissible to Canada for security, medical or financial reasons.
